Since I was young, I have always had an interest in horses, but my family couldn't afford lessons. When I was 14, I jumped at the chance to be a volunteer at Danada Forest Preserve where I could trade work for lessons. My interest increased and I received my B.S. Degree in Equine Science at Otterbein University in 1991 and my first instructor certification in 1993.  Since then I have held various positions giving me experience in Dressage, Hunt Seat, English and Western Pleasure, Eventing, Jumping, Trail Riding, Polo, Polocrosse and Driving (light horses and draft horses).  I have spent years starting young horses under saddle and retraining horses with behavioral problems.  I love teaching people how to ride and how to better train their horses so they can safely enjoy being at the barn and riding.

I teach students how to ride in a balanced seat so later they can specialize in any discipline.  Students learn how to handle the horses and how to groom, saddle and bridle their own mount.  At Soaring Eagle, there are lesson horses trained in English and Western styles of riding so students can choose their preference.  I offer lessons in English, Spanish or Catalan.

When I am not riding with friends or teaching, I am helping people buy or sell houses as a REALTOR and Home Stager for my family's business.  I enjoy hiking, kayaking, working in the yard and watching my boys play rugby.
